The PROGRESS (PROmotinG DiveRsity in Signal ProcESSing) initiative of the IEEE Signal Processing Society is proud to offer travel grants to women and underrepresented minorities who wish to attend the PROGRESS workshop at ICASSP 2023. The PROGRESS initiative is dedicated to promoting diversity and inclusivity in the field of signal processing, with a specific focus on motivating and supporting women and underrepresented minorities to pursue academic careers in this field. The PROGRESS Workshop at ICASSP 2023 will be an all-day event held on Sunday, June 4th at the Rodos Palace in Rhodes Island, Greece. It will feature 14 high-profile speakers in the signal processing field, many of whom have served in various positions involving faculty recruitment, such as university VPs, deans, department chairs, and chairs of faculty search committees. The program agenda will include three keynote presentations and three panels that will cover successful pathways to academia, research/academic/industry experiences, and navigating interactions with students and faculty.
These grants are exclusively for eligible students and young professionals to help cover their travel expenses to attend the PROGRESS Workshop at ICASSP2023. Each awardee will receive a maximum of $600. The reimbursement process will be in accordance with IEEE guidelines.
